Product to Review: Slanket

Product Information: One subzero night in 1998 during his first semester of college Gary could not escape Maine's winter. While watching tv, he  tore a hole in his sleeping bag so he could keep his upper body warm as he channel surfed. During Christmas vacation he commissioned the first Slanket to be made by his mother...and the SLANKET was born.

A portion of Slanket sales goes to these 3 charities:

• NRDC(The Natural Resources Defense Council works to protect wildlife and wild places and to ensure a healthy environment for all life on earth).
• H20 Africa(Co-founded by Matt Damon, H2O Africa is creating widespread public awareness of the water crisis in Africa and gathering support for clean water programs in critical areas, including communities along the Running the Sahara route. Together, we will leave a legacy of better lives and better communities in Africa).
• Breast Cancer Research Foundation(The mission of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation¨ is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness about good breast health. Last year, 88 cents of every dollar went to research and awareness programs).

My Opinion: I received the Bubble Pop Slanket. I love it! It is so warm and soft and the size of a blanket! Yes, a blanket that has sleeves. I have a few other kinds(copy cats) but none compare to the slanket. None are nearly as big or long. I can actually lay down on the sofa and wear my slanket all stretched out and still be all covered!
