The Sigh Review and Giveaway

We had the opportunity to review a book called "The Sigh" from the author of Persepolis and Persepolis 2.
About the Author:
Marjane Satrapi was born in Iran in 1969. She was raised during a tumultuous time in Iranian history, witnessing the Iranian Revolution and its many political and socially suppressive consequences. This left a lasting impression on her and she chronicled her experiences in her multi-award winning autobiographical graphic novels, Persepolis and Persepolis 2. Marjane now resides in France and continues to produce thought provoking works that raise awareness to the human condition.
The Sigh:
Rose is one of three daughters of a rich merchant who always brings gifts for his girls from the market. One day Rose asks for the seed of a blue bean but her father fails to find one after searching endlessly. Rose lets out a sigh in resignation and her sigh attracts The Sigh, a mysterical being that brings the seed she wanted to the merchant. But of course, every debt has to be paid and every gift has a price and The Sigh returns a year leter to take the merchant's daughter to a secret and distant palace where she finds sadness and joy.
The hardcover book retails for $10.95 and contains 56 pages.

My opinion:
My granddaughter (9) and my grandson (10) along with myself (no comment) read The Sigh. We all enjoyed the book. It is a fairytale that has monsters and evil people but does not go into details of them. What my grandkids took away from the book was being kind and helping others will always be rewarding in some way, Maybe not exactly what and when you would like it to happen but it comes in time.

One of my readers will win a hardcover "The Sigh".
