I was sent a Brain Quest Presidents game for review. It is really more than a game though. It is an awesome learning experience! You can play with a partner, in teams or even by yourself! They have sold over 30 million copies. It is curriculum based, teacher approved, loved by kids and trusted by parents. It contains 850 questions and answers from George Washington to Barack Obama. My grandkids really love playing this and the adults are also learning lots of things.
Some of the questions are:
- Who was "Honest Abe"?
- What city has the honor of being home to the White House?
- Complete this famous quote: "Ask not what your country can do for you-ask what you can..."
- Does the President pay the Vice President to work for him?
- Abraham Lincoln(also called "the Rail Splitter" because of his frontier way of splitting logs to make fences)
- Washington, D.C. (the District of Columbia)
- "...do for your country." - John F. Kennedy's inaugural address, 1961
- no (Government salaries are paid by American taxpayers.)
As you can see, it's more than just an answer...it gives you details also!
It's the upside: Which President doubled the size of the United States with the Louisiana Purchase? The downside: Who found himself in hot water with the Teapot Dome Scandal? And the fun stuff too: How does a President get take-out pizza? It's the story of America's leaders, and of America herself.
