Product to Review: Sibu Beauty Products

Product Information: Bruce McMullin founded Sibu in 2003 after series of events led him to Calcutta, India where he crossed paths with an ayurvedic specialist in Chinese plants and herbs. In passing, this expert mentioned a powerful holy fruit, the seabuckthorn berry. 

From there McMullin's quest took him to new heights, figuratively and literally, as he journeyed to some of the most remote locations of the Himalayas to find the superior source of seabuckthorn that is the foundation for all Sibu products.

In 2001, Sibu Beauty founder Bruce McMullin established the Tashi Foundation, a non-profit philanthropic organization designed to provide financial and resource support for the impoverished people of Tibet, where Sibu sea buckthorn berries are exclusively harvested.

Buckthorn berry is an orange berry that has Omega fatty acids( which is great for our skin). 

For my review, I was sent 3 different products. The first one I tried was Revitalize & Renew which is an all natural liquid dietary supplement made from the nutrient-dense sea buckthorn berry harvested exclusively for Sibu Beauty. It is loaded with the essential Omega fatty acids 3, 6 and 9. It is also a rich source of elusive Omega 7 fatty acids, a rare and vital component for cellular support and healthy hair, skin and nails. Drink 1-3 ounces daily to nourish and energize.

The next product I tried was the Repair & Protect Facial Cream with omega 7 fatty acids, helps boost collagen production and creates the perfect barrier to moisturize, rejuvenate, repair and protect. This light, non-greasy cream is ideal for daily use and offers a pleasing, light citrus scent. It is paraben-free and cruelty-free, and contains NO dairy, yeast, wheat, gluten, sodium or preservatives. Apply daily to clean skin as needed to moisturize and protect.

The last product to try was the Cleanse & Detox Sea Buckthorn Facial Soap which cleans, conditions, and moisturizes the skin. It is a natural astringent that inhibits bacterial growth and revitalizes skin cells. It also promotes tissue recovery and healing and helps address rosacea and eczema symptoms. Apply to wet skin with hands in a circular motion. Rinse and gently dry. For all skin types.

My Opinion: I was really shocked when I drank the revitalize & renew. I was expecting a horrid taste but to my surprise it wasn't. It is a sea buckthorn fruit puree blended with apple juice, white grape juice, banana puree, sea buckthorn seed oil, and a few other ingredients. It contains no artificial preservatives, colors, or sweeteners. The color is bright orange and is quite delicious!  It does have a bitterness associated with cranberry juice or pomegranate juice, but because there are other juices and natural flavors blended in the flavor isn’t too tarty. I think the clean & detox facial soap was nice. I saved this for the last product to test because I don't like using soap on my face. I was surprised that this didn't dry it out though, so I was very pleased. The repair & protect facial cream was very light and works great as a moisturizer under my makeup. I think the Sibu Beauty Products I tested were quite amazing actually. I think my favorite though is the repair & protect facial cream. I love that it is very light!
