"Simon Rhoden was a determined, humorous and intelligent young man who had his life cut short by Cystic Fibrosis. Having to spend plenty of time on the couch to rest, Simon thought up the idea of the doona suit.
A year or so later Jonathan Charilton mentioned this idea around the dinner table. His family thought I was nuts, but luckily his sister-in law thought this was an idea worth pursuing. After purchasing a couple of Doona’s* at the Christmas sales, she set about making the first prototype. The jacket was huge and the pants bulky – he looked like stay puft the marsh mallow man, but knew it was a winner. Many hours lying on the couch watching footy, temperature testing in freezing conditions down the coast and in the Yarra Valley, and more than two years working on the style has resulted in the current lazypatch duvet suit."
In memory of Simon, a percentage of profits from lazypatch will be going to the Simon Rhoden foundation to help ease the pain of current cystic fibrosis sufferers.

It is very true...You will definately have to turn your heat down if you wear you Lazy Patch Duvet Suit! It is so warm and very comfortable. I look life a pink puffball in it but I am warm and toasty. I have turned my heat down 7 degrees since wearing my suit. I am in my mid 40's and my circulation isn't that great, so this suit was a blessing.
I get out of bed and quickly put it on and in less than a minute I was warm. It is very soft also. I love how it keeps me warm and helps me save on my gas bill! That's always a plus! I live in the south where it is cold in the morning and by noon it is where you have to turn the heat off. It's great now that we don't even have to turn the heat on in the mornings.
We are planning a trip up north and I will definately be taking my Lazy Patch Duvet Suit! Not only for the cold weather up there but I have seen on the news alot of traffic being held up for up to 12 hours. If I get into one of those jams, I at least will be warm without having to worry about my car idling for 12 hours for heat.
